About us

We (Paul and Jenny Geelen, brother and sister) have been custom fitting and manufacturing artificial eyes since 1988.

Our practice was originally established by Margaret Geelen, so we are carrying on the family tradition.

Paul Geelen, Jenny Geelen - Ocularists.We are both very experienced – Paul with over 19 years of experience and Jenny with over 16 years experience.

We operate from our consulting rooms in West Perth. We also consult to clients in Darwin, East Timor, the Phillipines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bahrain and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Together we were founding members of the Ocularists Association of Australia Ltd. We are involved in the ongoing training and professional development of Ocularists in Australia and internationally.

Our work is carried out in concert with ophthalmologists, and in co-operation with public and private hospitals and major medical insurers.

    Halfway through the story, Mum covered my left eye with her hand and asked if I could see how many fingers she was holding up. I replied of course I couldn’t, moved her hand and then supplied her with the correct answer. She tried again, just to receive the same answer from me. ... This was the catalyst that made her question the sight in my right eye.
