Eye Loss from Gardening

To lose an eye as the result of a minor scratch while gardening is bad enough. This is just what happened to one of our clients. What is extraordinary is that she was even wearing glasses at the time. Ailsa Maley shares her story of “A One Eyed Life”, and how a minor gardening incident led to the loss of her eye. She enjoys challenging people to pick which is her artificial eye, and isn’t afraid of a good wager. Ailsa’s story demonstrates that even when people know one of your eyes is a prosthetic eye they still have difficulty working out which one!
