Multi Functional Glasses

In his story “Some Thoughts”, Mike Murray talks about some of the practical aspects of taking care of his remaining eye. Mike decides to get multi functional glasses to wear all the time. He concludes that this gives him assistance with reading and computer work, some degree of protection for the remaining eye and the convenience of not having to put them on and take them off all the time. I also know several people who having lost one eye, wear glasses just as a safety measure to protect the second. What do you do? Do you wear glasses as protection for your remaining eye?
